30min Blue Face

This blogs been slow going since the the balls been rolling with Seeds of midgard. Still a bit slow but the work has been a ton of fun so far aside from trying to balance life and the time needed to complete anything in a reasonable amount of time. Meh, I'll get faster as I go. Im not stress'in.

Wanted to play around until I hit the hay tonight. Gray scale pic with some overlay, and color layers. I did the normal skin tones and was kinda bored with that look. (mac) command "u" and a Hue/saturation adjust gave me more of a liking to the 30 min I spent on this odd looking Blue Face dude guy.

I finally spent some time playing around with some brushes I downloaded. I pick one and scribble, or delete the one I figure would be useless. Ive wanted more brushes but I dont want a massive library. Anyways I liked the shapes I ended up seeing within so I moved the image over to painter where I started tossing on a few more shapes in attempt to test out the highly revered pattern chalk tool. Pretty interesting tool once you get the right pattern.
Turns out I like what was coming of all the shapes, so I tossed on a blue and orange and now it reminds me of one of those mexican paintings done with spray paint and news paper...in digital form. I made a Sunset.

I got some good laughs from people when they saw it uncolored.
I felt like playing around in PS so I colored it up.

Calgary Expo, in a Week.

Ive been Busy Finishing up a Painting for Seeds of Midgard. Haven't spent to much time Sketching but I did this up yesterday. The Calgary Expo is coming up in a Week and its going to be allot of fun in sure. I'll be selling prints, and doing sketches again, but I'll be sure to go see some of the guests coming. Drink & Draw founder Dave Johnson, Sean "Cheeks" Galloway, Bruce Tim, and Joe Jusko. Im looking forward to chatting with them.
It sounds like we may be having a Saturday night Drink & Draw on the night of the Convention as well. Pretty much all of the said guests and more will be invited at the very least. I hope they drop by to have a killer After event filled with Booze and Sketching & shit loads of laughter.

Went to a Great Party last Night and Meet a ton of really Nice people. Apparantly there doing renovations soon so everyone had been drawing on the walls they were planning to bring down. My friend Ashley mentioned to someone that I draw all the time. I had just finished a Shot and a few people swarmed me said I had to draw something. Cant go backwards with Marker so she ended up looking kinda bitchy, but I love sassy women. Its was a fun party, plus I didnt have to feel guilty about not staying home to draw cause I got in a little at the party. The Sexy Lady below with the Dark Hair is my girlfriend Jaclyn, my prettiest fan.
